LOCATION: Onsite – Centennial, CO

OVERVIEW
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of infrastructure systems coupled with support to enable software product delivery to customers. Vice President of Technology, Infrastructure Engineering will direct and manage IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for an organization’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.
As a company executive, the Vice President of Technology, Infrastructure Engineering serves in a leadership role. High-level tasks could include identifying emerging information technologies to be analyzed, assimilated, and integrated within the organization. This role will also oversee the enablement of mission-critical applications and technology to support the company’s long-term goals, providing direction and leadership to a number of infrastructure teams.
Leading technology planning is another important responsibility of a Vice President of Technology, Infrastructure Engineering. They may also drive the implementation of best practices throughout the organization, while governing control and ensuring objectives are achieved. Risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, and research and recommendation of new systems, products and services are required.
There is particular focus on driving sustainable change, supporting the successful delivery of strategically important projects, including skills changes needed. Key projects will include people, customers and technology transformations with the most immediate need being the change management for the build and upgrade to our new platform and our migration to cloud. Partnership is key to success as you will work with multiple parties to understand, diagnose, craft, and deliver change solutions as well as to bring large-scale awareness to progress achieved.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience leading technology infrastructure teams in a high transactional global environment and implementing change programs across multiple functions of an enterprise.
  • Strong technical knowledge and implementation of legacy as well as cloud technologies and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build internal relationships and networks across all levels.
  • Ability to identify compelling storylines that simplify and humanize technical/complex messages.
  • Ability to understand sometimes complex business issues and translate them into relevant language.
  • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Results driven and able to use a range of metrics to measure activity.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative approach.
  • Required Location: Central or Eastern Time Zones to align to global time zone overlap for collaboration and engagement.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 15%.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model – among a data center, co-location data center and multiple cloud providers.
  • Technical knowledge of Infrastructure that spans Network, Compute (including Mainframe), Storage, Databases, Operating Systems, PaaS, End User Collaboration, Cloud platforms, and CyberSecurity
  • Managing both OpEx and CapEx budgets – a key component of which is engaging vendors to establish contracts SOWs and subsequently managing both for performance and cost.
  • Defining Availability Goals and managing to them

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience applying change management frameworks preferred.
  • Enterprise profit and loss understanding. (Financial drivers.)
  • Experience of working across international and multi-cultural locations.
