OVERVIEW
The TCP/IP Socket Software Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining communication systems that connect various ground software components in the aerospace industry. You will work with a talented team of engineers to resolve communication errors, optimize performance, and ensure secure data transmission.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop and maintain software components using C++ for TCP/IP socket communication, ensuring reliable and efficient data exchange between ground software systems and other components.
- Utilize Python, including Boost.Python, to enhance the software’s functionality and facilitate interoperability between different programming languages.
- Work with middleware technologies to streamline communication processes and improve data exchange between various aerospace systems.
- Apply basic encryption techniques to secure data transmission, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
- Leverage your expertise in the aerospace industry to understand the unique challenges and requirements specific to aerospace software development.
- Identify and resolve communication errors and performance issues in a timely manner, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience in TCP/IP socket programming using C++
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Boost.Python for Python-C++ integration.
- Familiarity with middleware solutions, such as message queues or publish-subscribe systems.
- Basic knowledge of encryption techniques and security protocols.
- Previous experience in the aerospace industry or Space Systems Engineering (SSE) is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
