TITLE: Senior Security Engineer
LOCATION: Denver, CO (Hybrid)

OVERVIEW
The Sr. Security Engineer’s primary responsibilities will design, implement, monitor, and evaluate necessary controls and procedures to protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, destruction, or availability. They will participate in on-call rotation and incident response.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manage SOC efforts, SIEM ingestion and analysis, vulnerability management and security awareness training and phishing exercises.
  • Implement security measures to protect the organization’s network and data from unauthorized access and threats.
  • Review firewall configuration changes for security best practices.
  • Conducting internal and external pen tests.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments of network infrastructure for compliance and security controls.
  • Work closely with Systems and Desktop teams to identify security vulnerabilities and remediations.
  • Develop and document network and security configurations, processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new security technologies or services.
  • Coordinate with external partners or service providers for network and security related projects or issues.
  • Communicating risk to the business with managers, directors, and board members.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 8+ years of experience as a security analyst/engineer using vulnerability scanning and endpoint protection solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with security applications and technologies that includes: malware prevention, DLP, IDS/IDP, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
  • Experience managing SOC efforts with SIEM platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience performing network and application security administration, penetration testing and/or threat assessments.
  • Experience with network protocols, data flows and attacks within an IP environment.
  • Solid understanding of vulnerabilities and Microsoft Windows OS.
  • Azure Security experience is preferred.
  • Python scripting exp is preferred.
  • Current CISSP, Sec+, or other security certifications preferred.
