TITLE: Full-Stack Software Engineer

OVERVIEW
The Full-Stack Developer with work in a range of areas including DevOps, frontend UI/UX, developer experience, and backend development skills. This role will support a large-scale code conversion project by designing, developing, and implementing key updates across multiple systems. You’ll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, in a collaborative, Agile environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain tools that coordinate consistent changes across multiple applications using a shared framework.
- Monitor production systems, identify issues, and implement timely solutions.
- Improve the developer experience and streamline workflows for users of the common framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write efficient SQL queries and contribute to backend data modeling.
- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces that expose tools to internal developer users.
- Apply UI/UX principles to ensure intuitive and consistent user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across the stack.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices for code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical input during design discussions and architectural planning.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer, contributing to both frontend and backend systems.
- Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript with a strong eye for design and usability.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Strong backend development skills, including advanced SQL capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-native development.
- Prompt engineering or experience with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot).
- Familiarity with Git version control and branching strategies.
- General technical design and problem-solving skills.
