TITLE: IT Project Manager
LOCATION: Fully Remote + Occasional Quarterly Travel

OVERVIEW 
The IT – Project Manager position is responsible for the full project life cycle of small to large-scale complex projects and programs. This includes scoping, planning, developing, and managing budgets, schedules, and resource plans to deliver high quality projects. Integral to the position is the ability to effectively bridge the gap between not only business stakeholders and the technology but between business leadership and the teams. The IT Project Manager also acts as mentor within the PMO department and as a subject matter expert in IT project management methodology for the business.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 

  • Coordinates project scope, planning, and execution across multiple cross-functional workstreams, including Change Management, Analytics, Development, User Interfaces/User Experience, IT Infrastructure, Data and Security
  • Coordinates project scope, planning, and execution activities across multiple Tech Ops functional teams, including Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain/Materials
  • Manages project risks, issues, changes, actions, Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs), key decisions and business readiness activities
  • Contributes to the Project Management expertise of the Tech Ops organization; applies Project Management best practices where warranted
  • Provides project updates to Program manager and leadership
  • Challenges the status quo and keeps Tech Ops strategic goals in the forefront of decision-making
  • Manage multiple small to large scale projects and programs simultaneously to successful completion including expert facilitation of project related discussions/meetings
  • Identify and align project objectives with enterprise goals and resource requirements
  • Expertly create and manage all necessary documentation
  • Monitor, drive and manage all aspects of project scope including strategic plan alignment
  • Clearly communicate and manage project expectations to all stakeholders
  • Expertly manage projects in/via multiple project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, PCO, etc.)
  • Develop and implement both simple and complex stakeholder communication plans
  • Contribute to portfolio management
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10+ years of experience with highly complex IT projects/programs from ideation to maintenance, including development, implementation & Change mgmt.
  • Airline and/or Airport experience in one or more Technical Operations areas highly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Masters Certification in IT Project Management, Certified Scrum Master or similar work experience is preferred
  • 5+ years of domain experience in the commercial aviation field or relatable experience
  • Proven Project Management abilities leading cross departmental/cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and drive projects to completion
  • Experience implementing and/or leveraging collaboration tools to enhance project coordination
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office products
  • Strong analytical abilities, written and oral communication skills, strong delivery skills
  • Experience with providing leadership to business units or vendors for establishing technology direction and utilization including security and compliance best practices
  • Ability to comfortably and persuasively interact with personnel of all levels and facilitate project decisions
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of use case, business, business requirement, functional requirement and user stories validation and management, ideally in aviation operations
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, POC, Hybrid, Kanban, Scrum project management methodology
  • A self-starter with excellent verbal & written communication and proven troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively set project management standards to specific requirements and unify project teams around those standards
  • Impeccable work ethic and strong team leader
  • Ability to work in a “think on your feet” team environment, can manage stressful environments
  • Excellent proven troubleshooting skills
