TITLE: IT Audit Coordinator

LOCATION: Denver, CO (**Currently, employees are working remotely from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic but we are looking to hire this candidate to eventually work on-campus in Denver, CO.)

COMPENSATION:$30-$40/hr

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The IT Audit Coordinator role is responsible for facilitating the processing, completion, and submission of technical, security related due diligence requests being managed by the IT Governance department. It requires strong organizational skills, an attention to detail, and customer service demeanor. This position also performs technical writing functions assisting in the management of the IT technical writing repository and creating/updating policies, procedures, and associated documentation. This position requires regular interface with co-workers within IT and with the respective business units. This position has also some interaction with external clients and/or vendors as part of coordinating audit deliverables and virtual or on-site assessments. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to operate independently with minimal direct supervision and strong communication skills.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Take a lead role in completing technical audit questionnaires by referencing a centralized repository with predefined responses, and coordinating with other stakeholders as needed
  • Assist in maintaining the response repository to keep it up to date with approved responses
  • Assist in scheduling of audit deliverables, maintaining a calendar to track audit deadlines and virtual or on-site audit sessions
  • Write, edit, format, and publish documentation and procedures in clear, concise methods that are easy to follow by the respective audience
  • Update policy, process, and other related documents on a recurring basis to account for process changes
  • Perform administrative functions associated with managing the technical writing document repository
  • Assist in defining and enhancing processes to improve departmental efficiency for managing the audit and technical writing workflow
  • Take a lead role in performing periodic audits that are completed on a recurring basis by the IT Governance department to monitor compliance to IT operational processes
  • Perform related duties as requested
  • Facilitate in the handling of inbound client due diligence inquiries from the initial acknowledgement of the request to the final deliverable of the completed packet
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience documenting policies and procedures required (2-4 years)
  • Experience working within an IT department required (2 years)
  • Experience working in a regulated corporate environment preferred (1-2 years)
  • Prior experience supporting SOC2 audits a plus
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products to include Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Prior experience using SharePoint beneficial
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail mandatory
  • Strong grammar and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task effectively essential
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework and basic IT concepts a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment, and keep current with relevant departmental operational and technical controls
  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry is helpful, but not required
