 ***Currently, employees are working remotely from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic but we are looking to hire this candidate to eventually work on-campus in Malvern, PA.

  • At least 5 years of experience developing firmware and resolving hardware issues.
  • Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: C, Assembler (ARM, 8051).
  • Lead candidates will have the following technical skills and experience:
  • B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing firmware, and resolving hardware issues.
  • Experience in more than one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Assembler (ARM, 8051), C#, JAVA, Kotlin
  • Experience in an ARM firmware development environment like: IAR, Keil, and Eclipse.
  • Windows savvy. Knows how to get around MS issues to achieve tasks.
  • Hardware design skills including component sourcing and design for manufacture.
  • Successful candidates will be:

  • Ambitious to learn new technologies, company products, proprietary software architecture, and processes.
  • Focused, committed, organized, dependable and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Hardware and Firmware Development-75% of time
    • Research assignments for technical details, business goals, risks, and success criteria.
    • Ability to technically create and transpose to others verbally or written.
    • Solve technical problems, whether software or hardware related.
    • Develop and maintain software for use in embedded devices written in C, C++, Assembler, Java, or other.
    • Maintain hardware and volume production of products. Some product lines are at +50K volumes.
    • Promote quality in all work, including verification of own work before publishing to others.
    • Setup servers with version control solutions and corresponding repositories to and use revision control solutions especially GIT.
    • Perform soldering as needed to test devices and its components.
    • Continuous development.

    • Document proposals, solutions, and work done using MS office, WIKI, Confluence, and other electronic forms.
    • Keep apprised of all standards and regulatory requirements necessary for fulfilling duties.
    • Effectively communicates as required to external manufactures, partners, and suppliers in related technology concerns.
    • Monitor and stay informed on field issues and installation customs and incorporate future features to enhance installation and reliability.

  • Credit-Card card reader experience

  • MDB interface experience
