OVERVIEW 
The IT Debt Manager (DM) Senior Consultant has a breadth and depth of development, integration and maintenance skills coupled with programming and application experience to work independently and lead CRS DM project efforts and work with assigned DM and development team members to deliver small, medium and large work efforts. This position reports to the Director of IT and the IT Application Manager. The IT DM Senior Consultant is responsible for supervising and overseeing the daily operations of DM and working with end users for daily production initiatives, delivery of system maintenance and/or enhancements, and project efforts as a DM Subject Matter Expert. The selected candidate for this role must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with cross functional IT team members and end user customers. This position will have experience with integration of 3rd party products and SaaS to DM. The Senior Consultant will work with Debt Manager and have knowledge of Blaze, Compliance within DM, standards of configuration and setup. The selected candidate must have proven ability to work effectively with programming resources who deliver custom coding in .Net, C#, and SQL. The IT DM Senior Consultant will maintain ongoing knowledge of CRS DM versions and enhancements while being considered the senior individual contributor and key CRS DM knowledge resource for recommendations of changes to DM. The primary focus of this position will be continual modernizing and enhancing CRS DM as well as ensuring DM availability and functionality end to end on a daily basis. Critical to this role are the following attributes: a solid working knowledge and ability to speak conversantly about development methodologies and frameworks SDLC, and PDLC; and a working knowledge of ITIL/CMMI policies such as release management, code versioning, check in and out, testing and other core processes associated with effective application and development is critical to this role.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 

  • Trains, mentors, and guides CRS DM junior resources and cross trains Development staff on the basics of CRS DM. Ensures professional development aimed at building bench strength of CRS DM skill sets.
  • Plans, processes and performs all assigned development jobs in an efficient manner. The IT CRS DM Senior Consultant is expected to:
  • Be experienced in CRS DM integration, configuration, functionality, development, maintenance and support.
  • Work closely with other team members when assigned to deliver projects, break fix and enhancement efforts.
  • Follow IT policies, processes and procedures and be an evangelist of these to other IT staff.
  • Consistently delivers work product in accordance with best practices, and with the standard framework, structure and coding practices.
  • Update and communicate status, issues, and ETA’s on assigned efforts in a consistent professional manner.
  • Works closely with Executive Management and mid-management to identify requirements, functionality and modifications for assigned CRS DM projects.
  • Ability to work with the development team, DBA, cross functionally within IT, and with customers in a full life cycle development process is essential to this position.
  • Serves as the backup for the IT Application Manager when they are unavailable.
  • Works closely with the IT Application manager to self- develop personal management skills and take over tasks to free up resource time for the Manager to do other tasks.
  • Works as a senior contributor of the IT team to assist with IT strategy, program and project efforts associated with the modernization effort.
  • Participates in the development of the IT Strategy.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities required to develop systems or to resolve complex business or system engineering problems for customers.
  • Plans and coordinates with external contract developers, 3rd party product integrators, and SaaS providers.
  • Works and communicates effectively with business, operations and IT leaders.
  • Defines, maintains and supports the core IT processes such as release management, change control, version control to ensure efficiency, consistency, quality delivery of application services that will pass control review for PCI, HIPPA, SOC and ISO compliance processes.
  • Follows the release management process to include QA, testing, code and version production releases and documentation of software and data systems.
  • Owns assigned technical elements of projects and delivers on time, cost and agreed quality standards.
  • Creates and maintains project specific documentation in a timely manner, including Technical Log on tickets, Technical Checklists and accurate timesheets relating to all work carried out
  • In depth working knowledge and experience of working with SQL and Windows versions and understanding of advanced database technologies
  • Thorough understanding of databases, database maintenance tasks, SQL queries, backups, script writing and execution
  • Experience of migrating data from other systems including understanding data migration requirements, planning data move, identifying risks and potential impacts and converting content so that data can be effectively moved between systems. Understanding of regulatory requirements for data migration is essential
  • Passionate about quality and end user experience.
  • Works[NR1] with operations to support data flows and report delivery for critical events like letters, credit scoring, client analytics and reporting. This would include working with vendors and parties whose services and bolt on applications may be in use at MBA. i.e., Renkim, Divinity, USePay, Transunion, Debt Next, et al
  • Performs the testing, troubleshooting, and overall quality control of various software applications/products.
  • Identifies, prioritizes, documents, communicates and resolves technical and operational issues.
  • Communicates software issues effectively.
  • Manages contract developers and/oror participates in joint development team efforts as needed.
  • Tracks and responds promptly and professionally to bug reports.
  • Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support.
  • Analyzes system specifications and translates system requirements to task specifications for Programming, Configuration and setup within CRS DM.
  • Works with customers as needed to extract system functions and requirements.
  • Converts requirements or functional specifications to technical specifications then code.
  • Engineers and onboards new functions, modules and services to CRS or other third-party software or Software as a Service.
  • Writes, edits, and debugs CRS DM.
  • Researches SQL Scripts and improves them to be more efficient.
  • Participates in development of long-range planning for new projects and facilities.
  • Evaluates current systems/code and makes decisions on future development.
  • Reads, comprehends, adheres to, and enforces any and all applicable ISO policies.
  • Provides 7 X 24 support in critical situations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  
  • Must have knowledge and 5-7+ years of specific experience as a CRS DM Senior Consultant performing integration, enhancements, upgrades and additions of functionality within CRS DM to include bolting on 3rd party software and SaaS.
  • Mature working knowledge of SQL Databases, SQL Stored procedures and scripts and .NET, T-SQL and C#.
  • Must have over 10 years of total CRS DM experience in the finance, banking, insurance or ARM industry
  • Must have a proven track record of delivery expertise that is referenceable.
  • Good knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas.
  • Previous experience working with or at FICO or CRS for some period of time is preferred.
  • Skills/Aptitudes: Organized and detail oriented with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multifaceted and works well under pressure. A solid understanding of CRS DM, networking/distributed computing environment concepts. Solid understanding of the principles of client/server programming. As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, there is an expectation to learn these technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with our systems. Must have good working knowledge of
  • CRS DM, Divinity, Payment vendors, letter vendors and payment industry processes.
  • SQL Databases
  • SDLC, PDLC, Agile, ITIL and CMMI core policies
EDUCATION 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or commensurate programming experience
