According to a recent survey by Rigzone, Denver has been ranked as the No. 3 oil and gas city in the world. Quite an honor. This is great news for the city of Denver. Additionally, it is great for the Denver IT community.
O&G companies are increasingly becoming larger consumers of enterprise IT systems. Several Denver based O&G firms have begun implementing SAP, with a focus on using some of the standard modules such as FI/CO, but also blending in the newer O&G focused modules of PRA (Production Revenue Accounting) and JVA (Joint Venture Agreements).
Additionally, we have seen the adoption of “Big Data” strategies by several O&G companies, to serve up Dashboards with critical information on key performance indicators related to daily production, pricing, etc. Skill sets with Microsoft BI stack (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS), have been in demand with several clients.
