Windows Systems Administrator, CO

BridgeView IT currently has an opening in Denver for a Windows Systems Administrator. This is a permanent position with a salary range of $75-85/K and offers comprehensive benefits.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Windows System Administrator provides Windows 2000/2003 Enterprise system installation, troubleshooting, configuration, security, and other administrative tasks. This includes designing, installing, configuring, administering, fine-tuning Windows operating systems and components, and analyzing messaging program and connectivity issues across the organization in a timely, efficient manner.

 

DESCRIPTION

·         Provides technical support, configuration, and administration of server/hardware

·         Provides technical support for configuration and administration of Windows 2000/2003

·         Administration of Exchange and Active Directory

·         Server/Networking shared software and hardware environment

·         Diagnoses LAN and WAN problems, and escalates to the correct person or department

·         Diagnoses storage problems and escalates to the correct person or department

·         Performs restorative and maintenance actions

·         Responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem

·         Provide support for a 24 x 7 operation

·         Develops and maintains a high level of Windows 2000/2003 System development and design skills, as well as a knowledge of Windows 2000/2003  System communications

·         Troubleshooting of infrastructure servers (SQL, VMWare, Oracle, IIS, Exchange, Citrix and other application servers) in a "distressed" state

·         Clearly communicates complex technical concepts in writing and verbally

·         Establishes strong working relationships with key staff members in ERCOT departments

 

REQUIREMENTS

·         Minimum 3-5 years Windows 2000/2003 experience

·         Good communication skills with clients and staff

·         MCSA is preferred

·         Should have understanding of Exchange, Active Directory and SAN concepts

·         Strong technical understanding of specific software applications, hardware configurations, operating systems (Windows 2000/2003) peripherals, and computer networking architecture

·         Ability to set priorities, plan/organize, and carry out server installations and user support in an efficient manner

·         Associate/Technical college degree plus four years job related experience required.
