VoIP Field Consultant, va

Seeking Field Consultant.  Denver, CO.   Fulltime position.  
BridgeView IT is seeking a Field Consultant for our valued client in Denver, CO.  This professional will record all effort on billable and non billable work in appropriate time recording systems.  Provide support for the clients solutions as required, with same-day response and maintain technical currency and the systems it manages.  Must be able to advise the Account Managers immediately on any customer or prospect solution services issues that have, or are likely to have, an impact on current sales cycles.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 – 8 years experience in IT industry
• Extensive customer facing roles.
• Detailed understanding of current Unified Communications and VoIP technologies:
o Cisco (highly desirable), Avaya (highly desirable), Nortel (desirable), Microsoft OCS (highly desirable)
o Contact Centres (desirable)
• Detailed understanding of delivery methodologies and frameworks:
o ITIL (highly desirable)
o eTOM (highly desirable)
• Development skills and experience with compiled programming languages, including:
o Web Development / XML (mandatory)
o Java/J2EE (highly desirable)
• Development skills and experience with scripted languages:
o Perl (Highly desirable)
o Unix Shell (desirable)
• Skills and experience in:
o SQL (Highly Desirable)
o Microsoft SQL Server (desirable)
o Crystal Reports (desirable)
o Other BI tools
• Detailed understanding of operating systems:
o Windows (mandatory)
o Linux (Redhat) (highly desireable)
o Unix (AIX, HPUX, Solaris) (highly desirable)

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide consultancy services to customers and prospects e.g. managed service providers, Fortune 1000,
• Analysis, discovery and documentation of client requirements for end solution. Consideration for solution architecture, hardware design, network topology.
• Installation of solutions
• Configuration of databases and reporting tools.
• Assist in requirements gathering for new projects.
• Assist with estimation and planning activities for new projects.
• Assist with aspects of sales processes as required.
• Build and deliver presentations and demonstrations of solutions to prospects, customers, partners and staff.
Measurements/Responsibilities:
