Project: Assurance, Advisory, TAS, Markets & Knowledge
Technology: This resource would be a member of multiple project teams. A variety of technologies will always be present across projects.
The resource will be responsible for the service transition activities related to firms application solution initiatives. This position requires an ability to assess the transition scope and characteristics of each project and to construct and execute a transition plan that is appropriate for the transition scope. The individual will be replacing someone who is moving to another project. The individual will work on a number of projects from implementing new Assurance products to updating existing Markets and Knowledge applications.
Required Skills:
3 to 5 years experience in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Lotus Sametime, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, experience working with virtual teams
Excellent facilitation skills, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, detailed/analytically oriented, ability to work independently and in a team environment with aggressive timetables, ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment in which priorities change quickly, ability to provide consultative advice with minimal information, ability to understand IT methodology and how transition fits into those processes.
Familiarity with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Systems Management Server (SMS) is a plus
Familiarity with ITIL concepts is preferred but not required.
Ability to consistently apply the transition processes to each service transition
Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel and ability to understand information technology issues.
Developing grasp of effective working within global professional services context.
Operate with minimal supervision on each transition
Bachelor's degree in either computer information systems or a business-related field or equivalent work experience.

Overview of responsibilities:
The activities performed by the Transition Manager (TM) will include:
Scheduling and executing deployment/transition plans as per project and business requirements.
Planning and executing the transfer of key information required for accepting, operating and supporting a solution deployed into a production environment.
Devising potentially complex transition plans and understanding how they fit into a project schedule.
Coordinating communications, learning and change management plans into one transition plan.
Understanding the impact of various factors (e.g. deployment dates, data migration requirements, business activities/requirements, etc.), allowing newly-transitioned services/products to be properly introduced into the firms processes.
Coordinating installations/deployments of hardware and/or software.
Monitoring the effectiveness of installations and making appropriate recommendations based on a formal analysis.
Builds effective working relationships with assigned IT Services Project teams
Understands the transition characteristics, scope and impact of each initiative.
Looks for additional (out-of-scope) scope and impact.
Executes the service transition processes and associated best practices on each initiative
Leverages the appropriate enabling tools.
Contributes to improving the transition processes by identifying opportunities for enhancement
Attending global conference calls (sometimes after business hours)
Responsible for managing multiple transitions (projects) and working virtually across multiple countries, areas and cultures
