We currently have an opening for a… Trading Floor Support Technician
Trading Floor Support Technician to provide support for traders, sales, research, back office and general staff for the New York office, and to backup technology support for other regional offices.

MUST HAVE: Proven experience supporting the Bloomberg, Charles River and third party market data applications.
* Primary desktop support.
* Secondary desktop support for global offices.
* First level support for all market data applications.
Extensive working knowledge of PC hardware; knowledge of desktop operating
systems and application software, including, but not limited to, Microsoft
Windows XP, MS Office 2003, MS Outlook 2003, and blackberry support.
Knowledge of PC Anti-Virus + security software. Good understanding of
TCP/IP, local and wide area networking. Basic knowledge of Windows Server.
- Extensive experience providing Trade Floor Desktop Support.
- Experience with IPC turrets trading phones.
- Knowledge of Excel and add-ins being used to compute trading data.
- Excellent understanding of Desktop OS, good understanding of Handheld
devices, and basic understanding of server technology
- Should take care of the special items like Install, configure, maintain,
and troubleshoot HP/IBM PC.
- Some understanding of trade flow.
- Resolve escalated support related tickets within the established
timeframes, while providing quality customer service.
- Provide general technical support for end-users with regard to their
laptop/desktop computer, application software, network/Internet access,
wireless network configuration, and anything related to the employees use
of technology tools in a professional manner.
- Maintain hardware asset database for desktops, laptops, monitors, etc.
- Assist with special projects, as required.
