Seeking exp Tier 2 NOC Engineer . Perm.  Denver, CO
 
BridgeView IT is seeking aTier 2 NOC Engineer for our valued client in Denver.  The ideal candidate will have 6+ years network exp, Cisco Router/Switch, IP & Wireless exp, background in Voice/Data, BS degree.
 
SUMMARY
Provide day-to-day customer network monitoring and support as well as receiving escalations from Tier 1 support. This includes front line support for all customer and provider interaction.  This interaction can range from opening, following-up and closing trouble tickets, via phone or email, to acting as a liaison between customers/providers and our NOC Engineer team, to working and resolving network problems and testing with customers.
 
REQUIREMENTS
Work hours- 11pm-7am
Minimum BS in technical field or equivalent education
Prior network experience a must.
Background and interest in advanced voice and data
Experience in IP and Wireless, is definitely a plus
Customer service and or helpdesk experience is a plus
CCNA, CCNP, or other networking certifications are a plus
The successful candidate must be customer focused and an effective communicator
Monitor, maintain and fix servers, operating systems, network configurations, software applications, and hardware
Administer and monitor system availability and performance tools
As a team member, work to meet or exceed service level targets
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Solve or document and further escalate issues as needed
Update and create knowledgebase articles
Work closely with internal and external customers
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Network monitoring of customer networks, and networking equipment.
Remote technical support, customer education and internal staff training on new technology.
Coordination of commissioning of new systems, add changes or removals
Receive phone calls from internal/external customer escalation and update incident/problems with ticketing system
Assist remote personnel with troubleshooting and resolve problems and or make temporary/permanent changes to the customer environment
Work with partnering service providers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Must be available to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends.
Must demonstrate effective communication skills with customers, superiors, vendors, partners and peers.
 
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 6 + years industry experience
