BridgeView IT is seeking a Systems Administrator. This role is located in South Brunswick, NJ. It is a 6 month + contract role.
Skills and Requirements
· 5+ years of experience with the Window Servers and software.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Developer Tools such as Source Safe, Visual Studios etc. and IIS from an admin perspective.
· Experience writing scripts including Perl a strong plus.
· Knowledge of Subversion, Linux/Unix, MS-SQL database and DBA expertise a plus.
· Experience working in a fast-paced web-based environment a must.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, and to collaborate with other technical & business groups.
Job Description
Our client’s User Interface group is seeking a Systems Administrator to assist with all systems administration tasks to support members of the team. The UI team works in a Microsoft .Net environment.
This individual will assist the team with systems related technical issues in all phases of our standard Project Management Cycle starting from initiation and planning to development and release.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
· Installation and upgrade of operating system, COTS software such as Microsoft visual studio, Microsoft Office and VSS as well as home-grown software and platform infrastructure components to set up complete development environment for members of the team. Also includes analysis, installation and management of software patches.
· Provides hardware, software, application, and limited network support and trouble shooting for development servers.
· Tasks to set up and configure IIS and web sites in the development environment.
· Investigate & analyze problems to determine solutions.
· Perform builds and release software developed by the team to staging and QA environments.
