BridgeView IT is seeking a Sr. Network Architect. This Role is located in Jersey City, NJ. It is a Perm opportunity.
Requirements
Expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and VPN, NEX PBX, LAN and WAN technologies, legacy and IP voice systems and network management systems and monitoring systems.
Essential Functions with percent of time spent and importance rating 1,2,3 (1 is highest) % 1,2,3
1. Planning & Design of LAN, WAN and external network data connections. 35% - Ranking # 1
2. Planning & Design of voice network and PBX systems. 10% - Ranking #1
3. Planning & Design of network management systems and monitoring systems. 10% - Ranking # 2
4. Implementation plans for all LAN, WAN, voice and external network connections - including organizing vendors and users, network drawings and scheduling. 25% - Ranking # 2
5. Troubleshooting LAN, WAN, voice and external network connections - including the utilization of network management/monitoring systems, testing of cabling, testing of routers and switches. 20% - Ranking # 2
6. Planning & Design of LAN, WAN and external network data connections. 35% - Ranking # 1
Overall Purpose of Job:
The Senior Network Architect is a self-starter/self-motivated, team player with 10+ years in the networking profession. The Senior Network Architect is responsible for planning and designing the Banks complex voice and data network infrastructures, procurement and implementation plans. This position also requires providing 3rd level support to the Network Operations Group for monitoring and troubleshooting of these networks. Project management and documentation are key responsibility for this position. Network devices and Technologies include Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load-Balancers, ACE, VPN concentrators, Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection as well as others for all data centers and branches. Cisco IP Telephony design and trouble-shooting is required for this position. Managing small groups is a plus for this position. WAN/LAN and MPLS and SIP trunking background are also required. Managing a group of engineers is a plus.
