Seeking a Software QA Engineer in Denver, CO. Fulltime position.
BridgeView IT is seeking a Software QA Engineer for our valued client in Denver, CO. We are looking for a Software QA Engineer well-versed in developing, documenting, and executing tests to ensure the delivery of a quality business application software product. This position will involve writing test cases/scripts, test execution including identification and tracking issues through resolution. It will also involve participation in developing and refining department QA processes and procedures, interviewing users, and working on cross functional teams, both internally and externally, to produce and release innovative software solutions.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience testing dynamic web-based business applications in a professional environment
Ability to act as a lead in the successful execution of projects
Solid, demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies with practical experience implementing them in real world situations
Strong in quality assurance processes (i.e., planning, scripting, testing and defect tracking)
Ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into appropriate testing of software solutions
Strong understanding of the software development cycle including experience with Agile Development Methodologies
Ability to decompose internal and customer requirements into detailed test cases for functional and regression test execution
Ability to interact with software developers, product managers, and business users required
Work with development team to drive all defects and design changes from discovery or inception to resolution
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel initiatives and meet established deadlines
Documented examples of work demonstrating a detail oriented approach
Experience/Training:
Experience with testing financial and invoicing applications where responsibilities included reviewing customer requirements and testing and reconciling financial transactions included in an invoice to the user interface
Experience with running and validating data in various custom reports
Experience with testing and agile tools such as Salesforce.com, Test Complete, QA Planner, and Rally Software
Demonstrated knowledge of UNIX and SQL as it relates to test execution, data validation, defect resolution, and environmental maintenance
Experience with appropriate open system technologies and environments such as Java, XML, Solaris, Junit ant, Subversion, Pentaho, and Oracle databases
