Our client is seeking a Server Engineer for the conversion and consolidation of current server environment to a Blade Server environment in support of Fixed Income groups. Primarily responsible for systems hardware implementation of HP chassis, HP blade server hardware, HP storage, and HP K-Class servers.
· Responsible for virtualization, capacity planning, high availability and load balancing strategies, and administration of HP-UX and Windows based servers.
· Responsible for installs, integration, and maintenance, and support of new and existing Server environment.
· Responsible for monitoring and administration of appropriate systems to ensure systems and services availability and peak performance, and modifications to existing environments are effective and efficient
Required Skills
· 5+ years experience implementing HP blade servers and HP Chassis
· Prior experience with HP K-class servers
· 5+ years experience in a mixed HP-UX and Windows server environment
· Prior experience in a Fixed income focused environment
· Experience in brokerage, banking, financial environments is highly warranted

· Good interpersonal skills to establish/maintain customer relationships and interact with team members
· Good organization and time management skills
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to develop programs of a moderately complex level from concept to final within very strict time limitations
· Ability to troubleshoot technical problems either on-site or remotely
· Ability to comprehend, filter information, apply judgment and use experience in design/sale/support of products and systems
