Seeking Sr. Windows Sys Admin in north Denver.
BridgeView IT currently has a need for a Sr. Windows Admin to work on a consulting engagement with our client in north Denver.
EXPERIENCE
- 10 or more years of management experience with Windows infrastructure in an enterprise class company (1000+ persons, 500+ servers)
- Detailed technical knowledge of AD, DNS, Win2K8, Exchange 2K7, SCCM/SCOM, Forefront, OCS 2007 R2 (and ideally in telephony/VoIP/SIP), email archiving
- Good knowledge and experience with storage (DAS, NAS, SAN) and IP networking
- Experience with major application and server virtualization initiatives
- Experience with large scale server/data center move or relocation
- Experience with server sizing / capacity planning
- Ability to communicate written/verbal with all levels of management
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word as well as Visio or CAD
- Ability to perform physical activity (e.g., h/w installation, climbing ladders)
- Experience with green data center / IT concepts is desirable
- Experience in mentoring and training peers
- Thorough knowledge of Exchange 2007
This position is responsible for technical design and implementation of Windows infrastructure in our client’s data centers. It covers most aspects of IT operational processes (e.g. commissioning/decommissioning, change management, support request management, patch management, capacity management, up time management, troubleshooting and problem resolution). This position is a senior position and the ideal candidate will have strong mentoring and training background.

Responsigility includes the optimal operation of the local Windows infrastructure – e.g., AD, Win2K3/8 servers, Hyper-V, VECD and virtualization in general, DNS, Exchange 2007 and UM/UC, OCS and OCS R2 telephony (VoIP, SIP), Forefront and Trend AV, Mimosa Nearpoint email archiving, Rightfax.
