Project: TRAC FY12 Release
TRAC (AELive!) is part of a suite of tax liability and computation tools used by the Client Tax practice. This effort seeks to develop and implement routine development items and defect resolution items that have been identified through UAT and through client feedback as part of the existing TRAC (AELive!) product offering (alert processing, report updates, etc.).
Technology: The product is built in .NET 3.5 and SQL Server 2008 using .NET MVC for front-end rendering and SSRS for reporting. Asynchronous services are used to integrate the solution with a proprietary tax cost estimation engine (TCE).

Required Skills:
- Five years experience with Solution Architecture Experience with architecting complex, highly integrated, globally distributed enterprise systems including application of architecture frames and design patterns. Must be able to ensure conformance to NFRs (scalability, availability, maintainability, etc.) and be able to produce architectural artifacts according to industry standards (i.e., 4+1 view model, UML, etc.)
- Eight years experience with .NET Working knowledge building large-scale .NET applications in accordance to industry standards and best practices. Knowledge of .NET MVC, WCF and asynchronous messaging patterns, and authentication mechanisms specific to the .NET platform required.
- Eigth years experience with SQL Strong understanding of RDBMS, data integration patterns, ETL (SSIS), data modeling, data security, performance optimization. Experience building SSRS reports required
- Must be organized and detail-oriented, solid teamwork and interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication and ability to work remotely with culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server
Desired:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Ten or more years of IT experience architecting, designing and building robust enterprise-scale solutions.
Overview of responsibilities:
Defining and documenting solution architecture according to Client/industry standards, communicating the architecture appropriately to stakeholders and the technical project team and ensuring adherence to it.
Collaborating with infrastructure architects and engineers, information security specialists, enterprise architects and application engineers to ensure a sound design and implementation. This includes making decisions around issues and tradeoffs affecting system architecture and assisting with the resolution of technical issues.
Working with project managers, business analysts and application engineers to collaborate on project work estimates, recommend appropriate resourcing and manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.
Ensuring design aligns with Clients technical strategies and roadmaps and industry best practices.
Consulting on any external technologies, solutions or tools that require integration with the system and offering input in terms of assessments and recommendations.
Ensuring solution design and implementation meets non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, maintainability, etc.) and consulting on remediation efforts required to meet them.
