We currently have an opening for a… Senior Project Manager
We need for a Project Manager with strong IT Infrastructure technology skills and experience working with large and small scale infrastructure projects including Data Center consolidations and moves. The successful candidate must have experience in both project planning and implementation. The Project manager will demonstrate leadership, aligning teams and functions, motivating and inspiring cross-functional teams and project delivery.
The Project Manager will establish successful partnerships with project team members, management teams, stakeholders, customers and the senior leadership team to drive project completion. He/she will be a key liaison between a wide range of groups; application development, business analysis, operations, infrastructure, and Business Unit groups. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Infrastructure Projects across all of the Business Units.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the project team responsible for all phases of the project development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation for the client.
- Deliver projects on-time, on-budget and according to client specifications by monitoring and controlling schedule, resources, scope and risk. Accountable for managing expectations and ensuring quality of project.
- Prepare all required project documentation and ensure successful handoff to the steady state team.
- Prepare activity and project status reports throughout the life of the project.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise; quickly resolving and escalating when necessary.
- Work with application delivery and resource managers to determine staffing and resource allocations for projects.
Experience and Skills:
General Project Management/Business Skills
- Knowledge of project management, time/resource/cost estimating/risk assessment skills
- Knowledge of project life cycle methodologies
- Knowledge of change control procedures
- Knowledge of negotiating, contracting, and facilitating
- Adherence to financial budgets and overall cost center management
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive results
- Ability to continuously prioritize and multitask efficiently
- Ability to understand critical factors and impacts surrounding issues, and decision making
- Act as the liaison between the customer group and internal project teams to address issues and concerns
- Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and grasp of the strategic intent of the project.
- Build and grow working relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related field
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, software development, including knowledge of IT processes and development life cycles
- Experience with Infrastructure Projects, including Data Center moves, SAN refreshes, Server Refreshes, Backup system replacement, etc.
- Possess strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills (including ability to “translate” between business and technology needs)
- Skilled in building customer relationships and conflict resolution
