BridgeView IT is seeking a Senior Microsoft Consultant – San Diego, CA – Contract
Required Skills:
• Experience with Windows desktop deployment, migration assessment, design & implementation, XP, Vista and ideally Windows 7.
• 3+ years experience in the following:
Multi-domain Active Directory security architectures and Group Policy design
Windows Vista/7 Deployment utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT 2010 and SCCM/OSD)
Experience with automated deployment methodologies (e.g., Lite-touch, Zero Touch) and application packaging / distribution
Proficiency with USMT scripting for data migration
Additional experience/tasks for this position:
• MCSE / MCITP / MCP certifications
• Design and deployment of Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) technologies – App-V, MED-V, AGPM, etc.
• Superior customer facing and technical skills
• Assessment of customer’s environment prior to migration
• Contribution to project plan development
• Documentation for migration plan
• Development of deployment and test plans
• Experience working as a team leader within a process/project-oriented organization
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations and effectively demonstrate products and solutions
Overview of responsibilities:
Senior level Microsoft consultant required to lead client through an XP to Windows 7 migration. Initial 8 weeks will be focused on assessment, planning and design for migration for a 13,000 seat environment. Solution will involve Active Directory/Group Policy redesign, Win7 image build, USMT data migration, automated (ZTI or LTI) OS and application deployment solution leveraging MDT and SCCM/OSD, and POC/Pilot and deployment logistics planning.
