Required Skills:
One year of experience with WebSphere
5+ years experience with complete life cycle of system development
5+ years of J2EE development experience building web-based applications.
1 year practical development experience with WebSphere Portal Server, or other jsr168/286 based portal technology
IBM Web Content Management design and development knowledge
Experience with Portal architectures, functional components, interfaces, and processes
Experience with fundamental Portal navigation and usability techniques
Experience with Portlet development and application integration approaches.
Experience with web languages and standards including HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript
Object-oriented analysis, design, and development abilities
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; excellent verbal & written communication skills
Independence with assignments
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Customer service orientation.
Preferred
Experience with SQL 2005/2008.
Experience in User Interface/graphic design.
Experience with agile Development process.
Experience integrating with Omniture analytics
Responsibilities:
The Sr Application Developer will work directly with other team members and business to coordinate requirements to effectively implement and maximize the use of Websphere Portal Server technology.
Candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing and integrating new Websphere/WPS applications into Client's Intranet environment and other internal and customer facing web environments. Primary responsibility will be the design, development, and maintenance of applications using WebSphere Portal Server, including security, performance, scalability, user interface, configuration, and change management processes and procedures. Candidate will participate as part of a team on a wide range of activities from requirements analysis through systems, application, and/or process design specification.
Candidate will also be required to assume development and implementation responsibilities as necessary, and other additional responsibilities as assigned.
