Senior Analyst/Developer Position Description for CARS/Pre-process/Rebate Repository)

We will only consider candidates with the following skills:

CARS

UNIX

PL/SQL

 

Required Skills:

Certification in application or system technologies or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
8+ years experience in a Pharma environment
8+ years of I-Many CARS/
8+ years of Oracle and PL/SQL and Unix skills
Solid Contract Management knowledge in general
Solid understanding of various external data sources and its implication on CARS, especially the DEA/HIN and the HRCA roster
Knowledge and understanding of data retrieval tools, such as, Cognos, PowerPlay, Impromptu
Strong SQL, troubleshooting and data analysis skills
Working knowledge of web based applications
Relevant experience with Data Processing modeling tools
MS-Access and VBA
MKS code management tool
Strong Unix and Shell Scripting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self starter, self-motivated, and self-directed
Must have a team-oriented approach and work in a collaborative environment
Must have a solution focused approach to problem solving, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction

 

Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise and support to the Contracting business unit with respect to the Imany CARS/IS applications (Price group functionalities, Chargebacks, Rebates, API, MX and External Data) and also support the custom Pre-Process and Rebate Repository Applications.
Trouble-shoot user issues, determine root cause, provide solution and alert business users on problem impact using the ticketing system.
Proactively monitor and support the production environment. Ensure that all scheduled jobs complete successfully.
Maintain various aspects of custom Pre-Process database including, but not limited to the DEA/HIN/PHS maintenance - Understand business requirements for changes requested, analyze impact of change on all inter-related processes, provide feedback and develop, test and document changes accordingly.
Support Retiring process by using existing processes as is or making changes as required (based on the requirement changes).
Interpret and convert business requirements into IT functional specs, Read and interpret complex data models, design data transformation processes, design and create Oracle objects based on the project requirement
Develop/Maintain Applications and tools for managing and processing various external data sources such as IMS-DDD data, co-promote data and GPO Utilization data for tiered contracts.
Develop/Maintain Applications and tools for managing and reporting various membership processes and pricing strategies such as PHS, TRICOR and Chargeback processing
Day-to-day maintenance of batch processes for EDI, CARS Interfaces to and from SAP, Data extracts for Reports, DAS extract for GP and troubleshoot as required.
Support EDI Bid award notification for contracts, membership and pricing.
Maintain various aspects of custom Pre-Process database including, but not limited to the DEA/HIN/PHS maintenance
Develop in-house solutions for new business requests, define, develop and execute process improvement initiatives.
Lead and Perform application upgrades and patches Understand additional functionalities, advise on the test approach including regression testing, create all necessary documents (IQs/OQs/test scripts, check lists) etc.
Provide data extracts for ad-hoc requests or for trouble shooting purposes and format it for required distribution and further analysis (Keen understanding of the applications is a must)
Responsible for creating Change Control and all accompanying documentation.

General Skills:
Experience working on Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Warehousing, and Data Mart Projects.
Strong SQL, problem solving, troubleshooting, teamwork and communication skills are required.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including management, from both business and technical teams
Analytical thinker capable of identifying both the depth and breadth of data required to accurately answer questions is required.
Ability to work calmly, accurately, and quickly in a fast-paced environment to meet the required deadlines of the government filing requirements.
In-depth knowledge of Excel and a working knowledge of other Word and PowerPoint applications are required.
Self-motivator who seeks to improve accuracy and efficiency of business and IT processes is required.
Participate in project team meetings and lead as needed.
