Description:
Project Manager will:
- Contribute to business plan development and IT estimation process
- Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule
- Coordinate technical team deliverables and ensure milestones are achieved
- Manage project scope and ensure Business Sponsor’s requirements are met
- Monitor project budget
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies
- Manage vendor relationships
- Report out on status
- Contribute to comprehensive portfolio release plan (manage, communicate and update)
- Understand and apply compliance and governance rules
*Minimal travel may be required.
Requirements:
- At least six years technical Project Management experience
- Full software development life-cycle experience in large-scale web implementations
- Experience using software tools for project management tasks such as Microsoft Office and Project
- Ability to effectively and assertively manage staff and vendors, including contractual commitments, schedules and deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work in collaborative team environments and establish and maintain on-going business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall product development methodology in an electronic publishing environment is highly desirable
- Relevant experience with web-based electronic product development projects desired
