BridgeView IT is seeking a Product Designer. This Role is located in New York, NY. It is a Perm opportunity.
Responsibility
Ideal candidates will possess the following background and experience:
5+ years software application design experience, including writing product specifications
Experience in messaging design using known business messaging standards including X.12 and EDIFACT
Experience in object design and modeling.
Working knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Data Modeling.
Working knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) design
Supply Chain and or Global Transportation experience is a plus
Agile methodology experience a plus
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills required
Effective problem solving abilities
Education: Bachelors degree/MBA preferred
We seek a Product Designer who can effectively work on virtual teams in the definition, and design of new applications and enhancements to the clients current suite, as well as support the implementation and deployment phases of these new products. The Clients product suite is delivered to our customers and partners within a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, therefore all designs must consider our total community of partners and clients including importers, exporters, on-line business to business communities, financial institutions, freight consolidators and forwarders as well as inspection services firms. These relationships are fundamental to the success of Clients business model.
The Product Designer will be responsible for the following:
Defining business requirements and their technical solutions for new or enhanced applications within the Client current suite
Developing all solution documentation including business process maps, functional specifications and API integration designs
Coordinating and supporting all other documentation including business process procedures, training documentation, help text and Quality Assurance testing scenarios
Providing knowledge transfer training sessions to key shareholder groups, train the trainer concept
Supporting baseline customer and marketing communications documents for roll out activities
Establishing and managing relationships with key shareholders ensuring the successful design implementation and deployment of the Clients product suite
Coordinating extensively with the Development and Quality Assurance testing teams to ensure that product enhancements meet expectations and are designed in a manner consistent with the Clients product suite
Interfacing with business owners or subject matter experts in researching/evaluating related industry tools and functionality to improve the Clients product
Providing status reports, including identification of critical issues/obstacles and resolutions, to the Product Design Office
