4 - 10 years experience in 1 or more testing disciplines with commercial business-oriented software applications

Job Description
This position has been created to ensure that anticipated growth for an existing application will be handled gracefully. The incumbent will define a load test strategy, execute tests, report results, and make recommendations for change so that the system may accommodate growth. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and communicating the plan, working with customers, fellow QA team members, developers, DBA’s, network engineers, and other key team members. The ability to plan, co-ordinate, execute, and report at all levels is key. Technical abilities include experience with load test tools (VSTS strongly preferred), and trouble-shooting for .NET applications, databases (Oracle/SQL), network, application servers, and web servers. Monitoring abilities are required.
The incumbent is accountable for testing deliverables within one or more disciplines, on medium to large sized projects with moderate to high complexity. Specific accountabilities are documented through performance objectives and may include:

Design and gain buy-in for load/performance test strategy

Develop Technical Assessments

Develop and execute test plan

Maintain/make recommendations for test environment

Provide status/% complete/results reports
-
Influence designs or plans to improve performance or reliability, reduce resource consumption

Gather instrumentation requirements

Provide complex customer support and technical communication

Analyzing test metrics to determine quality and forecast release readiness

Analyzing results for test execution and provide recommendations for change
