Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· A deep understanding of best-practice architecture, code, processes and concepts.
· Develop a scalable web application for thousands of users
· Develop using both traditional software development lifecycle and agile development
· Review author detailed functional/design specifications for every UI feature
· Develop highly interactive User Interface components using object oriented programming.
· Take ownership of the project components in an extremely rapid application development environment
· Mentor less experienced developers and take direction from Tech Lead.
· Communicate frequently and collaboratively with development, QA and business resources
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· 10+ years development software solutions to solve complex, business-critical challenges with demonstrated experience in senior technical development
· 8+ years experience in Java/J2EE ver 1.5 and above( Besides the everyday skills we need someone who understands or used the more
· Advanced features of Java: generics, annotations, dynamic proxies, concurrency etc. )
· 8+ years web application development and portal development
· 5+ years of Spring Framework, experience in MVC, Webflow, Annotations, Cache (Terracotta/EhCache), Spring AJAX etc.,
· Heavy experience using server-side frameworks Spring 2.5 and Struts 2 (Working knowledge/Understanding of Spring 3.0 needed.)
· 5+ years of hibernate and Spring MVC
· 2+ years of Spring Webflow
· 5+ years of Struts Framework with Tiles
· 5+ years of object oriented JavaScript, UI Widgets using AJAX technologies.
· Expert in JSP, JSTL and XML Technologies
· Experience in JBOSS ( 4.2 and above ) and Tomcat ( 5.5 and above ) Application Servers
· Experience in Apache 2 webserver and associated apache modules
· Expert knowledge using DHTML, Object Oriented JavaScript, AJAX, XML and JSON.
· Experience in working with JavaScript frameworks especially jQuery and Dojo
· Experience in SOAP/REST webservices, WSDL etc .,
· Working knowledge of SiteMesh or other templating engines
· Working knowledge of Java Content Repository and its APIs as a content management system
· Experience working with Eclipse IDE
· Experience using automated build/deployment tool Maven 2
· Experience in handling the repositories CVS and SVN
· Experience generating automated unit testing using tools like JUnit and/or HttpUnit
· Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering
