Requirements
- The person should have extensive experience in Informatica Administration and development and in using the Informatica scheduler.
- Must have strong experience using UNIX, creating Shell scripts, and DB2.
- Should have strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and relational databases.
- He/she should possess strong systems architecture and design skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills to interact with end users to fully understand their needs and requirements.
- 8+ years hands-on IT experience, 5+ years data warehouse development and (ETL) experience. Informatica administration certification a plus.
- BS in computer science preferred
Essential Functions with percent of time spent and importance rating 1,2,3 (1 is highest) % 1,2,3
- Design, Code, Test, schedule, and Implement project using Informatica and Data Flux 30% - Ranking # 1
- Informatica toolset administration (including server representation for the DWH/HUB team 40% - Ranking # 1
- Interact with users to identify their requirements and deliver results appropriately. 15% - Ranking # 3
- Debug and troubleshoot production environment application issues. Perform analysis and resolution of Help Desk Tickets and maintenance for assigned applications. 15% - Ranking # 1
Overall Purpose of Job:
This position will be responsible for developing the complex workflows and mappings using Informatica ETL and Data Flux Data Quality tools and shell scripts to satisfy the business requirements. Will also support the enterprise warehouse batch cycle and any required changes to the schedule. Will also support the team by assisting in the Informatica tool administration functions, monitoring production workflows ensure completeness, and performing Informatica upgrades. He/She will be the team contact for resolving problems with the vendor and the UNIX support staff.
