Job Description:
This is a contract ranging from 6 months to 1 year but only 6 months can be committed at this point. Of the 2, people hired into these roles, the intent will be to convert 1 of them to perm at the close of the contract. .
To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills/experience:
· 1-2 years of Helpdesk support experience
· Very strong Windows XP, Office and Outlook
· Experience with imaging, remoting and 3rd party helpdesk software packages
· Stellar presentation and communication skills
· Experience in an investment or trading environment will be a huge plus
This organization is hiring globally but there is an immediate need for 1 IT Helpdesk personnel in their NY office. You will be supporting just under 2,000 users, 2/3 of who are traders. Most of the time will be spent troubleshooting Windows Systems and applications via phone, e-mail and remote support. There WILL however, be a significant in-person component, so presentation, communication skills and personality are very important.
