Overview of responsibilities:
Our client is looking to augment its current network staff in NY to help build a new network at their new state of the art trading facility and provide network support as required. The project will run from August to December with the following requirements:
- Coordinate circuit install with various vendors
- Coordinate circuit extensions with low-voltage contractors
- Coordinate delivery of equipment.
- Install (rack & stack) equipment
- Coordinate structured cabling install with low-voltage contractors.
- Cable equipment / x-connects / circuits / etc
- Configure software and hardware as required.
- Test installation and basic network services including DHCP, multicast forwarding, etc.
- Coordinate and integrate 3rd-party installations as required.
- Be available to during weekend moves in November and December.
- Backfill operational/engineering support as required in other NY offices/datacenters.
- Upgrade/replace existing network equipment in existing NY and NJ datacenters, and coordinate appropriate testing.
