BridgeView IT is seeking a Business System Architect New York, NY Permanent
Required Skills:
8+ years of overall IT experience;
Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
Strong interest and experience in leading edge technology, products and methodology, including being at the forefront of what is happening in the industry;
Demonstrates and shares with the development teams knowledge of computer science principles, information managements principles, information technology functions and computer programming languages;
Strategic vision - must be comfortable in challenging the status quo and have the willingness to take calculated risks;
Experience with different software development methodologies (agile and waterfall);
Excellent and proven conceptual, analytical and planning skills;
Experienced hands-on architect with strong and diverse technical background;
Maintain & enhance tooling, frameworks and common services;
Provide guidance and best practices from systems integration perspective;
Provide strategic technical direction for mission critical applications;
Must have experience in developing mission critical, high volume, real time applications;
An expert on Microsoft Windows platform;
7+ years of software development C#, C++, Java.
An excellent knowledge of SQL;
Experience with working in team development environment using version control systems;
Persistent and result focused - must be able to deliver results in an environment which requires a high tolerance for ambiguity;
Self-motivated and a team player that displays results oriented attitude;
Ability to understand and become proficient in product and system domain knowledge;
Ability to work independently, with limited guidance and develop comprehensive plans and solutions to complex issues;
Strong leadership combined with being a productive, "hands on" contributor;
Ability to partner with our employees and organizations that support our business;
Responsibilities:
Works closely with application development project teams, vendors and business analysts to architect and review design of electronic payments applications. Researches on the emerging technologies to advise managers and guide the development teams about their most effective utilization. Provides guidance on development standards. Leads efforts to solve problems in critical, high volume, real time applications. Consults with senior IT management on the design of systems, projects and emerging technologies. Supports existing business Systems applications.
