Required Skills:
About 5 to 8 years of experience in IT Industry
Bachelor's Degree or above in Computing/Math or related subjects
Ability to work well in an environment with a high degree of change
Software development skills using Java and C++
Very good knowledge of SQL is a must
J2EE experience - Application Servers (JBoss preferred), JDBC, Hibernate, JMS and JSP
Software Development tools: Eclipse, ant, maven preferred.
Experience with working in a team development environment using version control systems
HP Nonstop (Tandem) experience is a big plus
Experience with Spring and/or Tapestry Frameworks is a plus
Experience working in a Linux environment and some shell-scripting experience is a plus
Good trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
Must possess excellent verbal and communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiar with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Project
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for software development for Core Money Transfer and Payment Systems.Will gather information about the organization's work process and apply knowledge of computer science principles, information management principles, information technology functions, and computer programming languages. Will be responsible for all SDLC phases of delivering business projects - understanding business requirements, developing Functional Specification, Technical Design, Coding, Unit Testing; supporting QA, UAT and Production Implementation.
- Work as a member of a development team to understand, design and implement complex system requirements.
- Derive and document Functional Specifications and Technical Design Documentation
- Coding and developing complex high performance servers/applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues of moderate to high degree of complexity.
- Provide strategic technical direction for mission critical applications.
