Seeking an Application Developer (VB.NET and SQL) for a full time position in Denver.
An established and growing national company is looking for a full-time Application Developer to join a development team and will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, deploying, supporting applications in production, report writing and writing system documentation.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years software development using experience using the MSFT .NET platform with VB.NET as the primary language
- Minimum of 2 years developing against Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience
- Coding experience with both VB.NET and C#
- Web development with CSS, ASP.Net, VB.Net, ADO.Net and MapQuest
- Writing Windows services for the exchange of data with internal and external endpoints
- Infragistics library implementation
- Writing reports using ActiveReports
- Microsoft Access Forms Development/Maintenance
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Ability to communicate design decisions/recommendations based on logical/technical arguments
- Experience analyzing business requirements to design, document and implement technical solutions
- Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Designs, codes, deploys and maintains applications that support business processes
- Designs enhancements and bug fixes for existing applications that support established business processes
- Writes and modifies SQL queries/jobs for ad-hoc reporting
- Executes testing activities as appropriate to implementation plan
- Write and enhance existing user and management reports
